PWN

Dave Page
Hi Josh,

Can you run the last few PWNs through your script and send them over for
addition to the website please? The last one on the website is
19/03/2005.

Cheers, Dave.

Ooops.  I gave DF the script, I thought he was doing it now.  Will attack.

I have been doing it for awhile.

I forgot to close the loop on this.

Err, OK. But Josh's script formatted them specifically for the main
website where we archive them. I can't easily do that from an rss feed.

Regards, Dave.

Um, right.  Is there something that shows me what they're supposed to
look like?  The script Josh gave me has a very, um, put-together look
that I'd prefer not to have to reverse-engineer.

Am I supposed to be checking them into CVS?

Cheers,
D

See the source of
http://gborg.postgresql.org/project/pgweb/cvs/co.php/portal/template/en/
community/weeklynews/pwn20050128.html?r=1.1&p=1

For an example. Note that the comments in there need to remain exactly
as they are as they are really tags for the template parser thingy.

> Am I supposed to be checking them into CVS?

It would save me a job, but feel free to email them to me if you're not
comfortable with CVS.

BTW, does Josh's script not 'just work' without requiring reverse
engineering?

Cheers, Dave.

Sadly, no.  But I wrote something that does :)

Just a thought - it might be a good idea to commit this script to the
web cvs as well, for the future ;-) Somewhere like /portal/tools/pwn/ or
such.

Excellent idea.  There's a mail to pgweb-commits in re: this :)
