I have not postgres's experience and i need to install a replica in postgrest 10 on redhat.
Reading about this, i have seen several methods and i have choose streaming replication.
Reading about that, there is an tool repmgr integrated with postgress.
I installed postgres 10
postgres (PostgreSQL) 10.6
i download repmgr (repmgr10-5.1.0-1.rhel8.x86_64.rpm) and failed due to dependencies
$ rpm -Uvh repmgr10-5.1.0-1.rhel8.x86_64.rpm
warning: repmgr10-5.1.0-1.rhel8.x86_64.rpm: Header V4 DSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID 442df0f8: NOKEY
error: Failed dependencies:
postgresql10-server is needed by repmgr10-5.1.0-1.rhel8.x86_64
Please, could someone help me?
Which is the best easy way to configure replica master/slave?
Thanks in advance.
If it's just about setting Up streaming replication, you may use these as a reference.
But, if you wish to enable easy switchover/failover/automatic failover solutions - then you could try solutions like - Patroni, REPMGR, pg_auto_failover, pgpool, etc.
